A Quick Note About Custom Commissions:
Custom Commissions are accepted based on my schedule and availability, which can be rare. Might I suggest that if you do want a custom, to get specialty pieces versus a whole costume.
General rule of thumb is 35% of your total budget will go towards materials and 65% will be applied towards labor. Quotes are given based on discussed factors (budget/materials).
Changes to any of these factors can cause an increase in budget.
Providing a Pinterest or Mood Board will help me design and craft the perfect commission for you. Wholesale duplication of another artist's specific style and design will not be not considered.
Certain materials, embellishments and base garments may be provided by client. Be aware: inexpensive garments and materials may require more labor to work with. I recommend opening a conversation before buying williy-nilly on amazon.
Commissions are based on a first come, first serve basis and no work is considered commenced until the 50% deposit has been received.
Rush Order fees are attached to rush orders depending on the difficulty of the project and will be negotiated ahead of time. These fees could double the price of the commission based on additional labor needed to complete the order.
Should the client decide to cancel the order once placed, the project, regardless of the state of completion, and any materials purchased, shall be returned to the client. There will be no guarantees made to the client to complete said order at a later date, or for the agreed on previous quote. Should the order be completed and no final payment received within 30 days of the original agreed upon due date, client forfeits the order and it may be sold at full value to recouperate any lost costs.
Although I strive to keep each costume unique to the client,
certain techniques/patterns are the property of Augusta Avallone/Penny Starr, Jr.
Pictures of said costume and its construction process may be posted to Instagram and this website for promotional use. The client may be tagged in updates.
Replacement pieces may be higher than the original quote due to the rise in the cost of materials, or a reassessment of the amount of labor for the project.
A Quick Note About "Exposure"
No item or commission will be given or made for exposure.
Unless it involves me meeting Harrison Ford. Then we can discuss.
